SeaWorld, which has locations in five states across the United States, including San Diego in California, is offering deals for ticket holders affected by extreme heat or weather conditions throughout the year, with a new “Weather-or-Not” assurance policy that allows those that have been impacted to come back for free.
The policy, described as the “most generous in the theme park industry” in a company press release, covers a wide range of weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, lightning, wind, snow, and hail.
From those who experience ride closures for over one hour during their visit, to those whose trips are canceled due to flight issues or closures of the park due to weather, SeaWorld is now offering a chance to return to the park within 12 months “at no charge.”
“When guests book and look forward to making memories in one of our SeaWorld parks, we want them to feel fully assured that if Mother Nature winds up having other plans that day—even if for as little as an hour—they will be able to come back another day, on us,” said Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing and communications officer of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment.
The policy applies to SeaWorld parks across the country.
To receive the deal, impacted ticket holders must go to Guest Services at the park on the day of their ticket or fill out an online form with their order number within a week of their originally planned visit.
