Scaffolding Collapses After Fire Engulfs Under-Construction Building in California

Updated:

A wall of scaffolding five stories high collapsed onto a road and at least two parked cars in Concord, California, on Tuesday, April 24, after a three-alarm fire ripped through the construction site of a new apartment building.

According to a KGO report, the fire had threatened an adjacent apartment building, sparking the evacuation of about 250 residents. Two people were treated for smoke inhalation, SF Gate reported.

The under-construction apartment building was nearly entirely destroyed, thankfully there were no serious injuries from the scary incident.
