Project Veritas’ newest series of undercover videos, meant to expose socialist saboteurs within the Trump administration, is earning praise from the high-profile head of a top government-watchdog group in the nation’s capital.

While Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute, has been busy promoting “The Creepy Line,” his new documentary film about the dangers that Google, Facebook, and other social media companies present to privacy and free speech, he said that from what he’s seen and read, Project Veritas’ investigative work appears to be “very, very compelling.”

He praised Project Veritas’ efforts in an interview with The Epoch Times.

These bad actors in government “can’t hide behind civil-service protection and engage in acts that are undermining the entities that they are supposed to be working for,” said the bestselling author of “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich.”

“I think what Project Veritas does is a very powerful tool for looking at some of these issues, in bringing into relief for people to really see,” Schweizer said. Veritas founder James O’Keefe III “serves a very important role, so I’m glad that he’s doing it,” he added.

Schweizer was referring to the videos published online this week by Project Veritas. In the videos, federal government employees who also are members of the largest Marxist group in America, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), explain to undercover reporters how they use their taxpayer-funded positions to undermine the work of the Trump administration. Spokesmen for all the affected government agencies expressed concern when shown the videos and promised to investigate.

DSA is a tax-exempt New York-based social welfare/lobbying organization recognized under section 501(c)(4) of the federal tax code. It describes its mission as providing “public education about democratic socialism.” DSA’s youth wing is called Young Democratic Socialists. DSA publishes a quarterly journal, Democratic Left, as well as Religious Socialism, which it describes as “a publication dedicated to people of faith and socialism.”

DSA controls a handful of small political action committees at the national and local levels, and its sister organization, the Democratic Socialists of America Fund Inc., is tax-exempt, organized under 501(c)(3) of the code.

In the most recent video, released Sept. 20, Natarajan Subramanian, a DSA member who works as an auditor for the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), said he routinely violates workplace rules by performing tasks for the DSA during business hours.

“I would get fired if they knew that I was,” Subramanian said. “And I do. I do it on my phone.”

Subramanian described himself ideologically as a communist with “no prefix.” “We have some folks who are Trotskyists or Leninists,” he said, adding that “a fair number” of “DSA people are federal employees.”

“Some of them are, like, full-time on political campaigns right now. So, like when those end, they’re kind of up in the air and some like legislative, some policy people, it’s kind of all over the place,” he said.

“You see people from various agencies, usually executive branch,” he said on another occasion. One DSA member has access to sensitive Department of Defense (DoD) information, Subramanian said. “I have a friend who works as a contractor for DoD, and he has TS [Top Secret] clearance, and he’s very active in DSA.”

One Project Veritas video featured State Department analyst Stuart Karaffa bragging about how he performs DSA work on taxpayer time. “Resist everything ... every level,” Karaffa said.

Another Project Veritas video features Allison B. Hrabar, a paralegal who works in the technology and financial services section of the Department of Justice’s antitrust division.

Hrabar was in the news previously when she was among a group of protesters who forced Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to abandon her dinner June 19 at Washington’s MXDC Cocina Mexicana restaurant. The activists shouted “shame!” and “end family separation!” at Nielsen, whose agency oversees Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In the new video published Sept. 19, Hrabar tells an undercover reporter, “There’s a lot of talk at work about, like, how we can resist from the inside, and there’s a lot of, kind of like, push back.” In the video, she admitted to using government resources to conduct research about political appointees and lobbyists, and said DSA operatives in the Department of Agriculture have been deliberately slowing down administration-ordered changes in how food stamps are distributed.

Hrabar was captured on video saying, “What’s kind of lucky is, at the DOJ, we can’t really get fired.”

DSA operative Jessica Schubel, the former chief of staff for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services during the Obama administration, was also caught on video by Veritas.

In the footage, she acknowledges to an undercover reporter that “there’s like a little resistance movement” inside the federal government.

Schubel said her allies at the Department of Health and Human Services “give [her] information” before it is officially released.

“It’s kind of like the Nixon ‘Deep Throat’ type of thing,” she said.
