WASHINGTON, D.C.—Eric Parris had seen Shen Yun Performing Arts before and attended again on March 3 at the Kennedy Center to enjoy the divine beauty.
“It was extremely well executed and very beautiful. And the graphic background and the dancers were so well integrated,” said Mr. Parris, a business owner.
“It was quite a striking balance of creativity. I felt that I was being bathed in some purifying energy.”
Traditional Chinese culture was said to be divinely inspired, and Mr. Parris felt the spirituality of culture contributed to the performance and how moving it was.
“It’s very powerful. The last performance was very moving,” he said, adding that a heavenly scene in the finale “was probably the best of them all.”
On Shen Yun’s last day in the nation’s capital, James O’Beirne, a retired Army officer, was seeing Shen Yun for the third time, this time with his grandchildren.
“They are all supremely talented. And I also think the femininity of the female dancers is exquisite. Just the balance between the two dancers. There’s a symbiosis there that’s just remarkable,” he said.
