PHOENIX—Kevin Suggs, an IT manager, and Ramona Suggs, a retired military member, watched Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Symphony Hall on March 9. Mr. Suggs was eager to see the performance for the first time, having heard of it from his cousins who had seen Shen Yun multiple times.
“The performers were incredible, just very connected and just looked very well,” Mr. Suggs said. “It was good, I enjoyed it.”
“It was exciting,” Mrs. Suggs said. “It was very different. It was precise. It was entertaining. It was colorful. It was magical.”
The final dance piece, which depicted the Creator granting salvation to all beings, left a deep impression on Mr. and Mrs. Suggs.
“It was brilliant,” Mrs. Suggs said. “It was interesting and very enlightening. For it to be the last piece of the whole show, it was really enlightening to see that part of it.”
“It’s still happening now in this day and age where we’re here in America and everything is just so free,” Mrs. Suggs reflected.
“You guys are the greatest,” Mrs. Suggs wanted to tell them.
“We would come again,” Mr. Suggs said. “They worked very well together. A lot of work goes into what they did and you can see that.”
