On Thursday morning Tsampa Revolution @TsampaRevolt published a photo on Twitter that is said to show a new Tibetan self-immolation, which is said to have taken place in Tsekhok, in eastern Tibet.
“Tiananmen Square Self-immolation Incident,” shows the burn victim fully wrapped in gauze. The reporter wears no protective clothing or mask, and is shown interviewing the victim without any concern for spreading infection.
When news of the “self-immolation” broke on Falun Gong practitioners around the world were immediately doubtful, simply because the act violates a basic tenant of the teachings.
The Chinese Communist Party launched a heavy anti-Falun Gong propaganda campaign in 2001, starting with a staged self-immolation in Tiananmen Square, the number of murdered practitioners dramatically increased.
