Recently, there was a sudden outbreak of COVID-19 in Ruili, Yunnan province, China. To many, the outbreak may not be surprising. The pandemic is resurging around the world, and in mainland China the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) can no longer maintain its lie that it is dealing with it well. It is only a matter of time until the Chinese people find out about the CCP’s lies. The key is that the Chinese people won’t know for sure how great the risk is for them.

The resurgence of the pandemic coincides with the recent release of a report on the origin of the virus by a WHO expert team that traveled to China, which has raised even more concerns. This report is endorsed by the CCP, and the conclusions are of little value, as countries around the world should have known much earlier. What the CCP wants is to dismiss the possibility that the virus came from one of its laboratories and to whitewash the origins of the virus, which will naturally lead to questions from other countries.
In the face of international skepticism, the CCP has, on the one hand, vigorously denied it and, on the other, ordered its indoctrinated experts to come forward with explanations in an effort to dispel the allegations, not realizing that the vague and ambivalent explanations of the experts have exposed many secrets of the CCP that used to be taboo. Here are just some that were revealed in a press conference of experts on March 31.

Unable to Find Origin of Virus Outside Lab

On March 31, the CCP held a press conference for Chinese experts, which are part of the WHO’s joint international team composed of experts from various countries to track the origin of the virus.

The speakers present included Liang Wannian, WHO Joint Expert Team China group leader; Feng Zijian, deputy director of the CCP’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CCDC) and Chinese group leader of epidemiology group of the WHO Joint Expert Team; Tong Yigang, Chinese group leader of the animals and environment group; and Yang Yungui, Chinese group leader of the molecular epidemiology and bioinformatics group. Liang was the keynote speaker at the press conference.

Once again, the CCP made it clear to the international community that the previous visit of WHO experts to China was not an investigation into the source of the virus, but only a joint study. The CCP has its own leaders in each group, who have closely controlled the scope and depth of the study, making it of little factual meaning.

“Coronaviruses with high genetic sequence similarity to the novel coronavirus have been identified in bats and pangolins, but the similarity is not sufficient to make them direct ancestors of the novel coronavirus,” Liang said at the press conference. According to Liang, animals such as mink and cats are highly susceptible to the CCP virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus, suggesting that bats, pangolins, skunks, felines, and other species could be potential natural hosts.

The CCP has always denied that the virus came from a laboratory, and has misleadingly claimed that it came from the Wuhan Huanan Seafood Market. However, so far no evidence has been found to prove that the virus originates from animals, which is tantamount to the revelation of its previous lies.

That said, Liang still did not give up on the CCP’s initial statement by claiming that “Huanan Seafood Market is one of the points of the outbreaks of the epidemic, but at the same time the spread may also have occurred in other parts of Wuhan.”

Liang said that samples collected from the market showed environmental pollution by the CCP virus, with the samples collected from the seafood stalls more evident of this pollution. He said that there was a possibility that the virus may have been introduced through contaminated cold chain products, animals, or animal products from an infected person. He added, however, that large-scale testing of animal products in the market has not found any positive results, and that they had not conducted any relevant tests on cold chain products.

Liang rated possible transmission pathways into five levels, from very likely to extremely unlikely. He mentioned three likely ways of zoonotic transmission, which is the direct transmission from animals to humans, transmission from bats to humans through an intermediate host, and introduction through the cold chain and food chain products. The extremely unlikely way, according to Liang, is from the lab.

Liang didn’t explain the reason for the extreme unlikelihood of the lab, and neither did he provide any evidence that the virus is transmitted through animals or cold chain foods. This only shows that either the members of the expert groups are not professional enough, or that they have not really done enough verification, as it is hard for them to get access to a large quantity of data, so they are not able to draw a conclusion.

With such results of the investigation, it is no wonder that Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the WHO, is afraid to speak up for the CCP, and he said Beijing had withheld data from the international investigation team following the publication of the China-WTO joint study into the origins the CCP virus.

Liang has not been able to present a professional conclusion, and he has betrayed his professional credibility by pandering to the political conclusions of the CCP and rashly denying the lab leak origin. Liang even suggested that, for future study, scientists need to think in a broader context and, in tracing the origin of the virus, there needs to be global research carried out in multiple countries at the same time. He also suggested that relevant studies in various countries should be conducted in a more diversified manner to search for possible animal species that may become the host of the virus.

With Liang denying the possibility of the lab leak of the virus and shirking the responsibility to the world in a disguised way, do experts from all over the world want to work with and trust such a person?

People came to know more about the origin of the virus only after Liang’s press conference explanations.

For over a year, the CCP has not been able to provide any evidence to support its claims that the virus originated from animals or from cold chain products. Their public denial of the virus from the lab only serves to increase people’s suspicion that the virus did indeed come from the lab.

Acknowledging Large-Scale Transmission of the Virus in December 2019

Liang admitted that some sizable spread of the new coronavirus occurred among the general population in Wuhan in December 2019, with the earliest identified case appearing on Dec. 8, and the earliest case associated with the Huanan Seafood Market appearing on Dec. 12. He said most cases concentrated in the second half of December 2019.

This is the first time that a CCP expert has publicly admitted the time of the outbreak to be in December 2019, officially pushing back one month in the timing of the pandemic, deliberately covered up by the CCP, from January 2020 to December 2019.

Dr. Peter Ben Embarek, the WHO’s head of the investigative team sent to Wuhan, told CNN that his team was presented information of 174 cases in and around Wuhan in December 2019, suggesting there could have been as many as 1,000 infected cases in Wuhan by December.

“Out of the infected population, about 15 percent end up as severe cases, and the vast majority are mild cases,” Embarek said.

Embarek added that, from the samples they had obtained, 13 different genetic sequences of the CCP virus were found in Wuhan, and that some of the variants were not from the markets.

Destruction of Large Number of Samples

Liang said that many biological, product, and environmental samples had not been kept in Wuhan, as the outbreak occurred over a year ago and in the early days there was a lack of understanding of the disease and the virus.
What Liang said seems to echo previous claims that the CCP had destroyed a large number of samples in order to hide the virus from the public. The destruction of evidence by the CCP has undoubtedly raised doubts about the true origin of the virus. If the virus really comes from animals and cold-chain food, wouldn’t the preservation of these samples provide more evidence? How could the CCP insist on doing the opposite to eliminate the questioning of the outside world?

Liang also said, “On the other hand, this is a retrospective investigation, and there may be some discrepancies or deviation in people’s memory at the time.”

Liang’s words couldn’t convince even the general public. How can you call yourself an expert if you destroy the evidence and then ask the people in question to recall it? The CCP has repeatedly prevented international experts from entering China, which has seriously delayed the scientific investigation, but it now puts the blame on the memories of relevant people.

When questioned about the allegations that the CCP didn’t provide raw data to the international expert team, Liang said, “These assumptions and allegations are untenable.”

“Of course, some data, according to the Chinese law, cannot be taken away or photographed,” Liang said.

This is to confirm that the WHO experts did indeed not see all the data and that they could not copy it or take it away.

He also said, “You can hardly imagine our experts, upon arriving at the site, would read each individual case and each individual animal sample, from the original records taken at an early stage, one by one.” He added, “This is unrealistic and there is no need for this in scientific research.”

Liang himself denied the completeness of the data and the adequacy of the investigation, saying only: “From the current conditions, we are trying to collect all that we should collect. Of course, it must be admitted that it is never possible to say that 100 percent of the data has been collected.” He also said that, “Our whole conclusion is based on the data we already have.”

He also said that efforts should be made to locate the origin of the virus. However, he added: “If we are not able to achieve the goal in our generation, we still have the next generation, and if not in the next generation, then in our grandchildren’s generation. We will make it one day.”

In short, he has left the task of tracking the origin of the CCP virus to his children and grandchildren. This shows that the CCP has no intention of tracing the true origin of the virus, nor does it have the least intention to cooperate with the international community. The so-called international joint prevention of the pandemic promised by the CCP is a lie. The CCP has created a catastrophe, yet it has shirked its responsibility. Every other country needs to take a careful look at this issue.

Liang also said, “The [earliest case found based on] the current study is [the one] on Dec. 8, but this case, though found to be the earliest, does not necessarily mean that it is patient zero that we have been tracing.”

Liang did not dare to admit that there might be even earlier cases, but he did admit that he had not found “patient zero,” nor had he found a host of animal origin.

The explanations made by Chinese experts at the conference revealed their true professionalism and many secrets of the CCP.
