As bad as Twitter’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story was—and it was extremely bad, since it constituted interference in a U.S. presidential election—what we learned last week was, as impossible as it sounds, considerably worse.
Those revelations from Elon Musk, brought to us via independent journalist Bari Weiss, detailed how Twitter, despite repeated public emphatic denials (read: unconscionable lies) by their executives, had secretly censored tweets in a variety of manners, including “Trends Blacklist” and “Search Blacklist.”
Among what appears to have been many such censored posters—including me, I’ve come to suspect, in a minor way—was Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, whose courageous work to counter the pervasive bias in our educational system has been of supreme importance.
But worse than that—actually an atrocity beyond the imagination—was the censorship of Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, whose tweets were secretly throttled during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is something out of the Goebbels/Beria playbook—the censorship or repression of legitimate scientific debate from one of the highest regarded authorities in the country for political ends—leading to disastrous results for Americans, not to mention the world, public be damned.
The short form is that he’s a medical doctor and holds a doctoral degree in economics, both from Stanford, and is now a professor of health policy at Stanford Medical School and generally regarded as one of the world’s experts in the field.
For those who haven’t seen it, the declaration begins: “As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.”
Basically, that approach focused on paying close attention to those most vulnerable, usually the elderly, while giving the rest of the population the ability to function relatively normally, keeping schools and businesses open.
Back in March 2020, Bhattacharya wrote for the Wall Street Journal: “If it’s true that the coronavirus would kill millions without shelter-in-place orders and quarantines, then the extraordinary measures being carried out in cities and states around the country are surely justified. But there’s little evidence to confirm that premise.”
That’s even more true now. In fact, evidence is coming in from everywhere to the contrary. Lockdowns, masks, and, most of all, the vaccines are being shown to have been useless and, often, particularly for those younger than 40—children, athletes, and women who wish to have children—and might have been more dangerous than abstaining would have been.
Further, what has happened to those children—a lack of socialization, unrecoverable educational deficits, depression, and even suicide—from being kept out of school or masked while in them is emerging as nothing less than a national—actually international—calamity.
Bhattacharya—and others, of course—saw all this, but Twitter’s executives did their bests to hide his thoughts from the public.
Why?
Because to not obey the decrees of Dr. Anthony Fauci—whose recent evasive answers to a deposition have once more demonstrated him to be a serial liar, covering, at all costs, his relationship with the Wuhan virology lab—would pose a threat to public health?
Because it would undermine in some way the Democratic Party and the campaign of Joe Biden?
Because the government itself—Fauci et al., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and so forth—was telling Twitter sub rosa to suppress Bhattacharya and others?
Does any of this or a combination (likely) justify what happened—the death or exacerbated illness of multiple millions of people across the globe?
Do you see what I mean about dwarfing even the Hunter Biden laptop scandal?
So let’s name some names here of those responsible, since it’s unlikely that they'll ever pay in a legal sense for what they’ve done.
Nevertheless, their names should live in infamy. Perhaps God will punish them. Feel free to add in the comments any I’ve missed.
First and foremost is Vijaya Gadde—formerly Twitter’s general counsel and in charge of something euphemistically named “legal, policy, and trust [sic].” She was the liar-in-chief, shamelessly and publicly asserting to the media on multiple fronts that no suppressing of viewpoints was being done. It was against Twitter policy, she kept insisting although she knew it was absolutely untrue.
Former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal, and another general counsel, Sean Edgett, must all have had their hands in this brainwashing cum mind control of the American public.
And of course, we have James Baker—the unremitting ideologue who played a key role in the FBI’s completely bogus Trump–Russia collusion probe and then, once it was too embarrassing for the FBI to keep him, popped up as deputy general counsel for Twitter.
Incredibly, this man kept masking and prevaricating to the bitter end, editing out—in an act of the purest “ends justify the means” neo-Stalinism—incriminating portions from Musk’s first tranche of revelations behind the company’s new owner’s and our backs.
Of course, he was fired. He should go to jail.
The most recent of Musk’s email dumps—may they continue—implicate Yoel Roth as the instigator of much of the evil manipulation going on at the platform, including, apparently in cahoots with the FBI, the banning of then-President Trump from the platform.
On top of all this, we have the question of founder Jack Dorsey, aka @jack. What did he know and when did he know it? The jury is still out on that, but, nota bene, he testified before Congress under penalty of perjury that Twitter did no “shadow banning.” Either he was lying or he ranks high in the annals of clueless CEOs.
These utterly immoral creeps don’t deserve to kiss Bhattacharya’s feet.
