As a music producer, Linda Nash was especially struck by the orchestral music of Shen Yun Performing Arts when she attended the renowned classical Chinese dance and music production at the Sony Centre on Friday evening. “The orchestra is exquisite. Yes, beautiful,” said Ms. Nash, praising the unique sound and character of the Shen Yun Orchestra, which consists of a Western philharmonic orchestra that plays the foundation while traditional Chinese instruments such as the pipa, erhu, and suona lead the melodies.
Shen Yun packed the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts for its opening show on Thursday evening with an audience as diverse as the culture before them.
Shen Yun performers take a curtain call at the close of the renowned classical Chinese dance company’s Saturday sold-out matinee show on Jan. 19, 2013, at the Sony Centre in Toronto.
