Han Guangsheng, a Toronto resident who defected to Canada from China in 2001, says the large numbers of people cutting thier ties with the Chinese Communist Party symbolizes hope for a better future for China.

The poster also warned: “Whoever intentionally destroys currency purposely will receive a warning from the police and be fined up to 10,000 yuan (US $1,250).”
