As Canadian premiers gather in Regina August 5 to 7 for a summer meeting, a business coalition is urging them to act faster to cut longstanding barriers to interprovincial trade so they will not hinder Canada’s trade talks with the EU.
An eight-year-old girl died of complications due to a Cholera outbreak in Hainan Province in late October 2008. The have been a confirmed 30 cases and 297 others which are suspected to be Cholera infections in Danzhou City.
A huge explosion occurred around 6 a.m. on August 25 in a chemical plant in Guangxi province located in southern China. As of August 26, 16 people have been confirmed dead, 60 people have been hospitalized, and six are missing. Preliminary investigation shows that the accident was caused by negligence towards work safety.
