Officials with the British Library have announced that, thanks to technology, a new sketch has been revealed in one of Leonardo da Vinci’s notebooks dating back about 500 years; to the naked eye, the figure appears largely as a discoloration.

IBM researchers have found a way to turn this useless piece of hardware into a device called UrJar that turns old lithium-ion batteries into rechargeable energy sources for low power devices such as LED light bulbs, fans and cell phones.
