Fifth Terminator movie doesn’t spice up it’s warmed-up plate of clichés with anything decisively new, other than a nano-nator, and even that’s meh.

Lost at sea on a rubber raft. No food. You try to eat a seagull. Doesn’t go down well (it comes right back up), so you eat small sharks raw. Constant vigilance is necessary; bigger sharks leap into the raft to get at you. Storms. Only rainwater to drink. Try that for 47 days. Then get captured by hostile forces and beaten black and blue, for a long, long, time.

Even in laid-back Australia, cops are still cops. It’s not like they’re issued a Fosters along with their gun and badge. A drunken driving incident could cost a good copper like Det. Mal Toohey everything, but the subsequent cover-up will have even greater implications in Matthew Saville’s “Felony.”
