he Hebe Haven Sin Fung Winter Saturday Series started on Saturday Nov 7, 2015 with 35 boats competing over 4-classes, the series will comprise 7-races mainly set within Port Shelter. Conditions were good with a 7-12 knot easterly wind and although a bit dark at times the rain storms forecast, stayed away.

HONG KONG—The final day of the Helly Hansen Summer Saturday Series took place on Saturday Aug 9 with two exciting geometric course races in Shelter Cove in 10 to 15 knot winds.
There was a large turnout of 61 boats for this annual passage race in the Typhoon Series calendar from Port Shelter to Mirs Bay on Saturday Aug 2. After a prize giving, a BBQ and overnight stay, 21 boats set off on a pursuit race back to Hebe Haven.
Yacht racing in Hong Kong during the typhoon season congers-up aggressive racing conditions with winds blowing at high speeds intermingled with heavy downpours. But over the last few weeks although typhoons have drifted past, creating some weather disturbance, on weekend race days the weather has generally been quite low key.
HONG KONG—Typhoon Rammasun, deadly in Vietnam and Southern China, slipped safely past the south of Hong Kong last weekend more easily than expected and it was sunshine as usual for the Typhoon Series races at Hebe Haven last Sunday July 20.
“The Short Course Dash” an Islands race of up to 10 miles, which took place on Saturday July 12, is a new addition to the Hebe Haven Summer Saturday Series and is also a “stand alone race” with its own prizes.
Day-2 of the Hebe Haven Helly Hansen Summer Saturday Series 2014 took place on June 28 in glorious sunny weather accompanied by a steady 7-knt breeze, adequate to give the yachts a good turn of speed. There was a slight lull in conditions late in the afternoon during the second race of the day (Race-4 of the Series) but the wind soon picked up again – champagne sailing indeed.
Sunday June 22 started off as a typical Typhoon Series day with boat teams arriving at the Hebe Haven Club from early in the morning, making final preparations, getting the well needed energy from a buffet breakfast or grabbing a sandwich and coffee between the finalizing activities.
