Flash Mob

Two high-profile suspects in Los Angeles were released within hours of their arrests on Aug. 18, drawing criticism by some about the county’s recently reinstated zero-cash bail policy.

Southern California has been hit by a series of daytime “flash-mob” burglaries targeting high-end merchandise in the past few weeks. Most suspects are still at large after stores including branches of Nordstrom and Yves Saint Laurent were looted.
