American reality television series “Vanderpump Rules” star James Kennedy has been arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence, according to the Burbank Police Department in California.

On Dec. 10 at around 11:30 p.m., Burbank police officers were dispatched to a residence following a report of a man and a woman arguing, Burbank Police Sgt. Stephen Turner wrote in an email to The Associated Press.

The investigation determined it was a domestic incident between an unidentified woman and Kennedy, whose legal name is James Kennedy Georgiou, Turner said. The 32-year-old DJ was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and then released after posting bail.

The Burbank city attorney will determine whether charges will be filed.

NTD, sister media of The Epoch Times, reached out to Kennedy’s representatives for comment and did not receive a reply before publication time.

Kennedy made his first appearance on “Vanderpump Rules” in 2014 and has since appeared in 10 seasons of the show.
Vanderpump Rules,” a Bravo series that debuted in 2013, follows the lives of employees at Los Angeles restaurants and bars owned by Lisa Vanderpump, a former star of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reality TV show. Kennedy starred alongside Vanderpump, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, Ariana Madix, and Lala Kent, among others.
On Nov. 26, the network announced that “Vanderpump Rules” had been approved for a 12th season, starring an all-new cast to play alongside Vanderpump.

Following the announcement, Kennedy took to social media to bid farewell to the show, thanking viewers for their support.

“It’s been a wild ride and I’m excited to see what the future holds. Although this is a bittersweet ending, for me, this is just the beginning! Thank you,” he wrote in a Nov. 27 Instagram post.
The reality TV series garnered two Emmy nominations in 2023 and another this year in the category “Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.”
