First launched in June 2022, the social media platform recently revealed a new user interface that features a “clear and intuitive categorization system” to simplify users’ ability to find content. Users can pin topics suited to their interests, which are then sorted into primary, secondary, and subcategories.
The new system streamlines users’ search efforts and tailors the user’s experience to what they choose, according to the statement.
Gan Jing World uses a non-addictive algorithm to encourage users to select what is shown on their feed for a more “active learning” online experience.
“Users can easily browse diverse content and knowledge, making their online time more controlled and meaningful,” the company wrote.
A spokesperson for the company said non-addictive algorithms are a distinctive and important feature of Gan Jing World. The platform is designed to prioritize valuable information and inspirational content, freeing users from endless video feeds.
On the homepage, users can personalize their “Main Categories” feed by pinning their favorite categories. Users can also subscribe to creators and “Follow” specific topics to customized content recommended to them.
The company’s website said, “‘Gan Jing’ means Clean.” Through technology Gan Jing World is dedicated to “fostering a culture of care, kindness, mutual respect, and trust among individuals.”
