‘The Rock’ revealed the newest movie sequel to Jumanji will be released within weeks, sending his fans into a social media frenzy on September 25.
Dwayne Johnson confirmed “Jumanji: the Next Level” will be released in a little over 11 weeks.
Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group revealed fans will not have to wait long before the sequel arrives in cinemas.
The original “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” performed very well at the box office, despite facing challenging competition from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”
Stars from the latest installment previously posted their experiences to social media during production in New Mexico.
Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan shared photos and videos on both Instagram and YouTube about their time in Farmington, 183 miles northwest of Albuquerque.
Johnson trained at Defined Fitness, said he required security to hold back overzealous fans and could “highly recommend” the gym.
Black filmed himself playing and losing shuffleboard with locals at the Three Rivers Tap and Game Room.
“It’s a rad little town,” Black said according to AP.
They all expressed gratitude and admiration for the Navajo Nation.
In the movie, Johnson’s character transforms from being a 16-year-old teenager into a muscular hunk with a “smolder look.”
The wrestler-turned-actor admitted it took some time to convince the director Jake Kasdan about the authenticity of his acting.
“You should’ve heard the conversation. I was like, ‘My character’s trait is—he smolders,’' he told AP. “Silence ‘What do you mean by smolders?’”
