A former NFL player is being questioned by Tennessee authorities after he allegedly pulled a gun on some teen pranksters on Oct. 3.

Mt. Juliet Police arrested Jimmy Robinson Jr., 43, following a confrontation with teenagers overnight. Officers accuse the former Buffalo Bills linebacker of driving around his neighborhood searching for the children after they allegedly rang doorbells and ran away before residents could open the door and see who it was, according to the Associated Press (AP).

Police revealed the door knocking incident happened near the corner of Brisbane Drive and Cairns Drive, while the gun was allegedly pulled on the teenagers on Sydney Terrace.

“We received questions about where the events in this incident occurred. Below is a map that illustrates the two different locations,” police said on Twitter.
“The yellow, on Cairns Dr W, was where the door-knocking incident occurred. The red, on Sydney Terr, is where the suspect located the vehicle with teens and threatened them at gunpoint,” police added on Facebook.

“To make it more clear, above is a map of where the two separate incidents occurred.”

When Robinson Jr. found a car occupied by five teens, he allegedly drew his gun and ordered two of them to exit the vehicle. AP was unsure exactly what happened afterward and who ended up contacting the 911 emergency call center.

“On Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 around 9:35 p.m., multiple officers responded to the area of Sydney Terrace near Brisbane Drive to handle an armed person call,” police said in a statement. “They arrived to find numerous individuals standing in the roadway.”

Police arrested, charged and detained Robinson Jr.

“Robinson was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail, charged with two counts of aggravated assault,” police said.

Officers also arrested and charged one of the teenagers.

“A juvenile involved was charged with trespassing onto Robinson’s property, and 20-year-old James Davison of Mt. Juliet was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor,” police said.

Robinson Jr. works as an emergency medical technician for the Nashville Fire Department, which is in the midst of an internal investigation according to AP.

He has posted bail and already been released from custody.

AP was unable to confirm whether Robinson Jr. has appointed a lawyer to comment on his behalf.

Robinson attended Western Illinois University and played one season for the Bills.
