City Downstream of Three Gorges Dam is Completely Inundated

The Yichang City of Hubei Province is the first city immediately downstream of the Three Gorges Dam. With water levels inside the dam’s reservoirs exceeded safety levels due to heavy rainfall, the dam has been discharging water. As a result, the entire city of Yichang was inundated by floodwaters on June 27.
