Drs. Robert Malone and Peter McCullough, whose Twitter accounts were suspended during the COVID pandemic, confirmed that they are now able to post again as of Tuesday.

Both McCullough—a renowned cardiologist—and Malone—a contributor to mRNA vaccine technology—have both been often critical of COVID-19 vaccines for children since they were rolled out.

Malone was suspended by Twitter at the end of 2021 after posts that criticized the effectiveness of Pfizer’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. At the time, Malone told The Epoch Times that he received no advance warning from the social media company before his account was banned.

The final post, dated Dec. 29, 2021, included a video that read: “The Pfizer Inoculations For COVID-19 – More Harm Than Good – VIDEO Pfizer 6 month data which shows that Pfizer’s COVID-19 inoculations cause more illness than they prevent. Plus, an overview of the Pfizer trial flaws in both design and execution.”

But on Tuesday, Malone wrote that he returned to Twitter. He did not elaborate on why or how his account was reinstated, while new Twitter owner Elon Musk has not commented on it.

“Welcome to Fifth Gen (Information) Warfare The battleground is consensus of the swarm and your own mind. Please share my substack from today,” Malone wrote.

As for McCullough, the cardiologist was suspended from Twitter in October after repeatedly raising questions about the effectiveness and safety of COVID-19 shots. That came just weeks before Musk purchased the firm for $44 billion and reversed the company’s policy around so-called COVID-19 “misinformation.”

McCullough confirmed his return to Twitter on Tuesday. He also did not elaborate.

“Alright everyone, I am back on Twitter!” he wrote. “Let’s see my verification and completely uncensored, no unfollow programs, no bots assigned to me, and absolutely no shadow-banning. Let the world hear the medical truth (98% want it) on the pandemic and more!”

Twitter Rule Change

About a month after Musk’s takeover, users noticed that Twitter said it would stop enforcing its COVID-19 “misleading information” policy that it says resulted in the suspensions of more than 11,000 accounts.
Users noticed that on Nov. 23, Twitter’s website stipulated that it will “no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy.” The firm added that from January 2020 to September 2022, some 11.72 million accounts were challenged, 11,230 accounts were suspended, and 97,674 pieces of content were removed due to the policy.

Some, including U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and other White House officials, praised Twitter and other big tech companies for enforcing policies against “harmful misinformation,” while Republicans and other critics said the rules were tantamount to censorship.

Amid a bevy of changes at the social media platform, Musk backed the release of the “Twitter Files” to several journalists and released internal messages on hot-button issues such as COVID-19 rules, the suspension of former President Donald Trump’s account, and how the platform blocked sharing of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

In the latest installment, journalist Bari Weiss on Monday posted an alleged screenshot of a Twitter slack messaging channel just days after Trump’s account was banned in January 2021. Those messages revealed that some Twitter staffers were increasingly calling on the platform to tackle “medical misinformation” pertaining to COVID-19.

Accounts Restored

Aside from Malone and McCullough, another prominent COVID-19 vaccine skeptic, journalist Alex Berenson, was “permanently suspended” from Twitter as he railed against vaccine mandates. A spokesperson for Twitter told NBC News earlier this year that Berenson, a former New York Times reporter, was “permanently suspended for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation rules,” which Berenson had denied.

But Berenson, after reaching a settlement with Twitter, eventually had his account restored and claimed the White House and Pfizer officials pressured the company to ban him. His suspension and eventual account restoration came months before Musk bought Twitter.

“It doesn’t stop infection. Or transmission. Don’t think of it as a vaccine. Think of it - at best - as a therapeutic with a limited window of efficacy and terrible side effect profile that must be dosed IN ADVANCE OF ILLNESS. And we want to mandate it? Insanity,” Berenson wrote in one Twitter post before his account was suspended.

Other prominent figures whose accounts have been reinstated after Musk’s takeover include Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Roger Stone, Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson, The Babylon Bee, and Kanye West. However, West was suspended at Musk’s behest after he posted an image of a swastika inside a Star of David.
