Dr. Peter McCullough, a renowned Texas-based internist and cardiologist who has raised questions about the efficacy and safety of COVID-19 vaccines, has been suspended from Twitter.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) took to the social media platform on Oct. 7 to condemn the suspension of McCullough’s account.
“Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules,” the screenshot reads.
A number of other medical experts and individuals also condemned Twitter on Thursday for suspending McCullough’s account.
The Epoch Times has contacted Twitter for comment.
‘Important Groups Were Excluded’ From Vaccine Testing
McCullough, the chief medical adviser for the Truth for Health Foundation, had over 512,000 followers on Twitter and has been vocal in questioning just how safe and effective COVID-19 shots, which have been pushed by the Biden administration, are.“With no data on safety and efficacy, pregnant women were encouraged, then later forced, to take the vaccines,” McCullough said.
During that same presentation, he also stated that data has proven that “the messenger RNA is in the lymph nodes months after the vaccine had been received” and that “the vaccines are not leaving the body.”
“It’s found in the lymph nodes at 60 days. The thought in the FDA briefing book was that these vaccines were going to be in the body for a day or two, generate immunity, and then be out,” he said, referencing the Food and Drug Administration, which has granted approval for multiple COVID-19 vaccines.
FDA Limits Use Of Johnson & Johnson Shot
The FDA limited use of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 shot in May to individuals 18 years of age and older in cases where authorized or approved COVID-19 vaccines are not accessible or clinically appropriate, or in cases where the individual is less keen on using the other two shots.FDA officials said that data showed the known and potential benefits of the vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 outweigh the known and potential risks for the individuals described in the limited use authorization.
However, it acknowledged the risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), a rare but potentially life-threatening condition, stating that this warrants limiting the authorized use of the vaccine.
McCullough has also proposed that vaccine mandates need to be immediately dropped.
“There is no room for mandates that violate one’s principle of autonomy, their principle of making their own medical freedom. In a civil society, mandates have no role, and the vaccines, at least the ones we have. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson [need to be] immediately pulled off the market and a safety review undertaken,” he told EpochTV in June.
Following the suspension of his Twitter account, McCullough turned to the free speech platform Gab where he informed his followers that Twitter had, without warning, “stripped all my followers to zero, then they executed their kill machine--SUSPENDED!”
