Bayern Munich remains adamant about selling Xherdan Shaqiri, but the Swiss player has other ideas.
Shaqiri, 22, has been linked with a move to Liverpool recently, and before the World Cup, he said that leaving Bayern Munich for an English club “was an option.”
However, Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer told Kicker that the Bavarian giants are not interesting in selling Shaqiri.
“Xherdan is an important player for the future,' he said.
‘There are no thoughts at all about selling him.”
Following the news, the highly-rated Swiss youngster tweeted that he lives “in the present... not in the future....;-)”

The tweet seems to be in direct response to Sammer’s statement, and indicates that Shaqiri is still considering a Bayern exit.
The Swiss forward played a bit part role for Bayern Munich in the 2013/2014 season.
According to WhoScored, Shaqiri made 13 appearances for Bayern last season, with 10 of those coming off the bench. In those appearances, Shaqiri scored 6 goals and notched 2 assists.
Shaqiri scored a hat trick in the World Cup against Honduras, and had a decent World Cup 2014 in general.
