Wayne Gretzky’s son will attend college soon and play sports, but it won’t be hockey.
Trevor Gretzky made his decision and will commit to play for San Diego State, according to USA Today on Wednesday.
Gretzky, who plays first base hit .341 with 33 RBIs and 2 home runs at Westlake Village Oaks Christian High in his final season.
When he was in high school, he played football alongside Nate Montana, the son of football great Joe Montana. Another teammate in his high school was the son of actor Will Smith, Trey.
He will train under Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn at San Diego State.
