Some users on Twitter said Volaris’ flights from Tijuana to Oakland at a 70 percent discount (going from March 13 - March 16) are having problems.
“I have tried booking my tickets but it doesn’t work. I always booked them yesterday and i have the picture but it didnt seem,” one person wrote on the social media website.
Another person said the service is bad “both by telephone and chat your website.”
Added another, “The page says that tries me to complete my reservation gives ... NO answer or call back.”
I have tried “to buy the tickets and it isn’t working,” said another Twitter user.
According to Anna.aero, an airline network news and analysis site: “Volaris has added twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) flights from its Tijuana (TIJ) base to Oakland (OAK) in California. The Mexican LCC’s inaugural flight between the two airports was on 4 March. The 747-kilometre route is not served by any other carrier. Volaris now serves 29 destinations non-stop from Tijuana, but this is the airline’s first international service from the airport, and will be operated by its A319s.”
“However, Volaris already serves Oakland from four other Mexican airports; Guadalajara, Mexico City, Morelia and Leon/Guanajuato.”
