The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fired on ISIS terrorists on Feb. 8 ahead of a planned assault on the terrorists’ last enclave on Feb. 9 in the part of Syria where a U.S.-backed coalition has been supporting operations against the group.
The head of the SDF media office, Mustafa Bali, told Reuters that the main battle will be launched on the evening of Feb. 9 and its mission will be to eliminate the last remnants of “the terrorist organization.”

Trump Says North Korea Talks Productive, Summit Will Be in Hanoi
President Donald Trump said on Feb. 8 that U.S. diplomats had a “very productive meeting” with North Korean officials, and announced that his summit later this month with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would be held in Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi.“My representatives have just left North Korea after a very productive meeting and an agreed upon time and date for the second Summit with Kim Jong Un. It will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam, on February 27 & 28,” Trump said on Twitter.
“I look forward to seeing Chairman Kim & advancing the cause of peace!” he said.
