Florida mother Tricia Williams Todd has been missing since April 26.
A newly-released photo shows the 30-year-old Air Force veteran, mother, and nurse in her last known location—a Publix grocery store in Hobe Sound, Fla.
The footage, obtained, examined, and released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, shows Williams Todd smiling and speaking with a grocery store clerk on April 26.
She hasn’t been seen since departing the grocery store.
The next morning, Williams Todd was supposed to pick up her 2-year-old daughter, Faith, at 10 a.m. from her ex-husband after work that afternoon, but failed to show, according to a Crowrise site raising money for the search efforts. Her father alerted authorities.
Just hours after being notified, police located her car at a neighbor’s home, which contained her purse and keys (which were still in the ignition)—but no cellphone or wallet. A five mile-radius search via ATV’s and air support in nearby state parks, around Tricia’s home, and area beaches where Tricia was known to take early morning walks, turned up nothing.
In a press conference, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder ruled out Williams Todd’s ex-husband, and father of her child, as a suspect, and said there’s “no physical evidence or witness testimony links Todd’s ex-husband with her disappearance. Williams voluntarily took a polygraph and nothing indicates he was involved or has any information.”
“There is absolutely no evidence that a crime occurred,” Sheriff Snyder said in the conference. “This is a strong circumstantial case for an abduction except that some of the elements that we would see in an abduction are missing.”
In a written statement, the sheriff’s office said: “There are a number of investigators working on different aspects of Tricia’s disappearance. At this time, everyone involved in this case has been cooperative. ... We know that this case is of great interest to the community, and we will continue to share what we can about the search efforts. We have a large amount of resources dedicated to finding Tricia, and thank everyone for their willingness to assist us.”
Friends and family have set up a Facebook page, Search for Tricia Williams Todd, and are helping coordinate search efforts.
Williams Todd has red hair and hazel eyes. She is aged 30 and weighs approximately 110 pounds, according to a poster made by the Facebook team.
A Martin County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said on May 4 that the department plans to “scale down” their efforts in the case.
