An AMBER Alert was issued June 13 in Idaho and Nevada for three missing children: 9-year-old Kaylee Dunn, 10-year-old Lewis Dunn, and 6-year-old Kadyn Simon.
The mother of all three children, Sarah Joy VanOcker-Dunn, and the father of Kadyn, Jason “Travis” Simon, fled with the three children on June 2.
VanOcker-Dunn, 36, does not have permission from the father of the older two children to leave the state with the children.
It appears the couple became aware of an investigation and search warrant for Simon, who was wanted for questioning in a child sexual abuse case, and fled their Caldwell home with the children on June 2, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities believe the children are in imminent danger—the children are victims of Simon, according to the AMBER Alert statement.
Simon was spotted at a Burger King in Fortuna, Calif., on June 8, and VanOcker-Dunn at an ATM in nearby Eureka earlier in the day, according to the Independent Journal.
The latest report, issued by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, says they were last spotted in Sparks, Nev., on June 12.
Simon and VanOcker-Dunn are known to have camping gear with them, and are possibly armed.
It’s believed they are traveling in a gold 2006 Pontiac Montana sports utility vehicle with the Idaho license plate number: 2CJN683.
There is currently a $100,000 warrant for Sex Abuse of a child under 16 out of Canyon County for Simon, and a $150,000 warrant for felony custodial interference out of Canyon County for VanOcker-Dunn.
