Tom Hanks may join up with filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow in her latest movie Sleeping Dogs, according to several reports on Tuesday.

The project reunites Bigelow with screenwriter Mark Boal since they last worked on “The Hurt Locker.”

Their latest film takes place between the borders of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. Organized crime is prevalent in the region, and the film, which was formerly titled “Triple Frontier,” will portray the lives of five men of varying ages who work near the border.

Hanks is said to be undecided about one of the roles in the film and may have to share the spotlight with other big name actors, according to Deadline.com.

Deadline reported that the film’s production begins early next year and the five roles will likely be filled quickly.

After Bigelow’s “Hurt Locker” took home six Oscars, many big name actors have been linked with her latest project.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Sean Penn and Jeremy Renner are rumored to be involved with the project.
