Country singer Luke Bryan has found a unique way to bring a little humor to a somber situation during his family’s self-isolation: pranking his wife of 13 years, Lina Bryan.

On April 7, 2020, Bryan posted footage of his “train horn” prank on Instagram in which he rolls up in his truck behind his wife, who is leisurely riding a bicycle on the road, without her knowing. “She about to get train horned and she doesn’t even know,” the singer is heard saying in a video he took, which later garnered over 2 million views on Instagram.

In a short clip, Bryan unexpectedly gives a good honk from behind his wife, causing her to veer off into the grassy shoulder, clumsily but harmlessly tossing over in the grass, leaving the singer in stitches.

“This made my month!” exclaimed one fan.

“The more you watch it the harder you laugh,” commented another.

In another social media post earlier that same day, Bryan announced that his family was electing to self-isolate at home in order to do their part amid the outbreak of the global pandemic. The singer also broke the news that his upcoming album release and tour would be postponed until later in 2020.

Fond of humor, the singer posted another viral prank on Christmas 2018 when he pretended to cut himself badly with a kitchen knife, using tomato ketchup to feign a bloody mess.

Lina posted a picture of the aftermath of her husband’s joke on Instagram, captioned, “Terd face got me ... almost.”
The long-suffering wife, however, has been known to even the score from time to time. In fact, Lina might just have been the original instigator behind the Bryan family’s legendary pranking tradition, according to Yahoo.

It was Lina who inaugurated the ominous-sounding “12 Days of Prankmas” in a bid to create some hilarious moments with friends, family, and especially her husband. Before long, however, Bryan and an army of friends took it upon themselves to start scaring Lina back.

Tactics included orchestrating unexpected jump scares, air horns, and fake snakes.

Luke and Lina Bryan were college sweethearts. They married in 2006 and have two biological sons together; the couple also adopted Bryan’s two nieces and nephew in 2014 after the children lost both their parents under tragic circumstances.

The Bryans are also animal rescue advocates, and their family has welcomed numerous shelter dogs, including hard-to-home senior pups, over the years.

Alluding to the key to their happy marriage, Lina explained in an interview with People, “[W]e talk a lot, and as long as we stay on the same page and change together, I don’t have trouble sleeping.”

“Because of my family’s past, we’re aware of the importance of being affectionate,” Bryan added.

Lina advocated demonstrative love in the family home. “We want [our children] to know Mom and Dad are happy,” she said, “and that’s what a marriage should be.”
