Simon Cowell movie: “X-Factor” host Simon Cowell is reportedly making his own animated movie, which he will star in.
Cowell told the U.K. Daily Star tabloid that he has been working on the film, which he did not elaborate much on.
“I have an animation movie I have just sold,” he told the paper. “It’s my concept. It’s an idea I had ten years ago and the first studio I’ve gone to wants it.”
He added that as a fan of cartoons, “making an animation is something I’ve always, always, wanted to do.”
“We only did the deal a few weeks ago so I’m not allowed to say more,” he said, adding he hopes to have the film in theaters by Christmas 2014.
The STV website quoted a source close to Cowell as saying that he “wants the biggest Hollywood A-listers to do the voiceovers.”
“Don’t be surprised if one or two familiar faces from his reality shows appear too,” the source added.
Both websites said that Cowell reportedly is a big fan of the “Flintstones” cartoon. STV added that Cowell has ambitions to win an Oscar for screenwriting.
