Just when Beijing residents were preparing to return to a normal life, a sudden outbreak of the CCP virus was announced by local authorities. Most of the new cases are linked to Xinfadi Wholesale Food Market, the largest food market in Asia, which supplies more than 70% of fruits and vegetables in Beijing.

The market was shut down on June 14 and vendors had to discard all their goods due to viral contamination concerns. Considering the gigantic scale and daily traffic of Xinfadi Market, many residents have realized that Beijing will soon experience a shortage of food, and this fresh outbreak is bound to be very serious.
