Sarah Palin Heading to FOX News

Former Alaska Governor and Vice-Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin has joined the cable news network FOX News as a contributor. After resigning from her post in Alaska and authoring a best-selling autobiography, many have speculated on the politico’s next move. In a statement Palin said, “I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at FOX News. It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.” A programming executive for FOX News said, “Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup.”

Michael Bublé Announces Engagemen

Canadian singer Michael Bublé announced this week that he is engaged to be married. Bublé proposed to actress Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre in November, according to “People” magazine. A representative for the chart topper told the magazine, “Michael proposed … in front of her family in Argentina. They’re ecstatic. They’re adorable, in love, and laugh all day long.” A wedding date is not yet set.

New Show from Dana Carvey in Development

Dana Carvey and fellow Saturday Night Live alumnus Spike Feresten will begin shooting the pilot for a new sketch comedy show next month. Few details have been released about the new show beyond the fact that the pilot has been picked up by the FOX network. Carvey described envisioning the show over coffee with Feresten to “Variety,” saying, “I thought it would be a lot of fun to do a sketch comedy show. Spike and I laugh at the same stuff and share a similar sensibility.”
