The Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire pre-order crowds look massive, but how many people actually showed up?
According to Japanese sales tracker Media Create (via Siliconera), there were 239,000 pre-orders made within two days.
The numbers are some what lesser than the 260,000 pre-orders for Pokemon X and Y, but considering that Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is a remake (albeit a souped up one, going by available information) rather than a totally brand new game, the numbers are still very impressive.
It will be interesting to see how the game does in overall sales a year from its release. So far, more than 4.1 million copies of Pokemon X and Y have been sold in Japan, so Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have a tough act to follow.
In other news, Serebii.net has some information about the demo.
The Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version will be set in Mossdeep City. Those who have played Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will remember that Mossdeep City is where the legendary Pokemon League Champion Steven Stone resides.
Trainers can choose from three starter Pokemon, Marshstomp, Grovyle, and Combusken.
The Pokemon Loudred, Nosepass, Linoone and Slakoth can be encountered in the area, as well as Team Magma and Team Aqua, the game’s antagonists.
Towards the end of the demo, Trainers will receive a yet to be named or revealed Mega Evolution. This Mega Evolution can be transferred to the full version of the game via the Pokemon Link. Any items collected in the demo can also be transferred.
The demo will also have special daily events for trainers to accomplish.
Serebii has compiled a list of where the demo code can be obtained.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be out for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS on November 21 in North America, Japan and Australia.
