There will be a demo for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and details of Team Magma’s Maxie and Team Aqua’s Archie have been confirmed.

Nintendo has announced that there will be a demo of the upcoming Pokemon titles that has gameplay Pokemon trainers “wont experience anywhere else.”

Trainers will meet “familiar Pokemon that can now Mega Evolve,” and they export these Pokemon and reward items from the Special Demo Version adventure over to the full game when it becomes available.

If that is not enough incentive to play the demo, Nintendo promises “special scenarios” for trainers to take on daily.

Nintendo also confirmed earlier speculated information about Team Magma Leader Maxie and Team Aqua Leader Archie

When the Japanese Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Japanese trailer was released, eagle-eyed fans spotted that Maxie has a Key Stone in his glasses, while Archie has a Key Stone in his neckless.

As it turns out, Maxie does indeed don a pair of “Mega Glasses” with a “mysterious Key Stone needed to Mega Evolve his Pokemon,” while Archie has a “Mega Anchor” that functions identically to the “Mega Glasses.”

Maxie is described as a meticulous man with an analytical, numbers driven mind, and maintains a “cool-headed outlook, thinking that some sacrifices cannot be avoided if he is to achieve his goals.”

On the flipside, Archie has a “big-hearted and stirring personality” that has “won him deep loyalty from his subordinates.” However, his penchant for thinking with his heart can make him a “dangerous figure, not caring what happens to himself or his team as long as he can achieve his goals.”

Trainers can interact more with Maxie and Archive when Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is released for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS on November 21 in North America, Japan, and Australia, and will be released in Europe on November 28.
