A taller, slimmer Diet Pepsi will be unveiled this month, and sales for the new product will start in March.
The new “sassier” design is “in celebration of beautiful, confident women,” the company said in a statement.
The new can is more than six inches tall and will make its debut at the New York Fall 2011 fashion week, which takes place in a few days.
“Our slim, attractive new can is the perfect complement to today’s most stylish looks, and we’re excited to throw its coming-out party during the biggest celebration of innovative design in the world,” Jill Beraud, chief marketing officer of PepsiCo, said in a statement.
Fashion designer Simon Doonan will also debut his collaboration with PepsiCo at the Diet Pepsi Style Studio in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood on Feb. 11.
The old, fatter cans will still remain after the skinny can makes its debut, according to CNN.
