Ozzy Osbourne apology: Former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne on Tuesday denied reports he and his wife split up, but he admitted that he had a drug and alcohol relapse more than a month ago.

“For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs,” he wrote on his Facebook. “I was in a very dark place and was an a--hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.”

He continued: “Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person.”

Osbourne then apologized to his wife, Sharon, and his friends, family, and members of his band for “insane behavior” over the time-span.

Celebrity news website TMZ reported that Sharon Osbourne was getting a foot massage in Mexico amid the rumored break up.

The website said the two were living in separate homes in Los Angeles. Sharon moved into a hotel several miles from Ozzy, who rented a house miles away, TMZ said.

Over the past few decades, Osbourne struggled with drug and alcohol abuse and in the few years he’s been sober, he has frequently spoken publicly about his addict past.
