A search is underway for autistic boy Damion Alexander Davidson, 8, in the area of North 7th Street in Duncan, Okla. Davidson has been missing since June 10, but was last seen on June 12, according to the Duncan Police Department.
Duncan police said Damion was last seen on surveillance leaving a Dollar General store, and heading north, at around 7:30 a.m. on June 12.
The department has deployed helicopters, drones, K-9 teams, and several dive teams to search for the boy—who reportedly has a fascination with water.
Officials have been concentrating their searches by creeks and streams after finding the boy’s Captain America-themed pajama pants in a tree south of Bois D'arc Road.
At the time he was deemed missing, Damion seemed to have disappeared sometime around 2 a.m. after being tucked into bed.
Damion is Autistic and reportedly non-verbal; officials warn he may been in need of medical attention.
He stands 4 feet tall, weighs 50 pounds, has brown hair and green eyes; he was also last seen wearing a red shirt and black socks. He may respond to the name Damion Alexander.
The Duncan Police Department is asking that if you see Damion, to please contact them at (580) 255-2112.
Officials also ask the public to please leave water searches to trained professionals. Instead the public can walk neighborhoods, search out-buildings, and under parked cars, porches and decks.
“He is a small child and can hide in small spaces,” officials said.
