The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of about two million Graco strollers on Wednesday. Four infants were reported to have been strangled by the strollers between 2003 and 2005, according to NY1. The strollers posing safety risks are the older versions of the Graco Quattro Tour and MetroLite models that were made before 2007.
The Atlanta, Ga.-based company has warned those who own the strollers to stop using them immediately.
If not harnessed into the stroller, children can slide through the opening between the stroller tray and the bottom of the seat and their head and neck may get stuck, thereby putting them at risk for strangulation.
