Marisa Miller, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit supermodel, was hired by the NFL to be its spokesperson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Miller signed on for the NFL’s 2010-2011 season.
“I’m so excited to have this incredible opportunity to partner with the NFL,” Miller said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve grown up watching football my whole life.”
She won’t be the official spokesperson per se, but will be the official “SuperFan” of the NFL.
She will be promoting special events for the league, including the International Series game against the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos.
“Marisa’s love for the NFL and our sport made her ideally suited for this role,” Chris Parsons, NFL vice president of international operations, told the Reporter. “We’re look forward to working with her.”
Miller noted that she is a lifelong 49ers fan.
“Going to the U.K. for this game is going to be a blast,” she said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to helping gain new fans and show them how incredible the game of American football is!”
