Uruguay striker Luis Suarez came back from injury to inspire La Celeste over England recently, and rumors about him leaving keep on swirling.
The Spanish media has been speculating that the 27-year-old marksman will be making a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid, and recently, Suarez’s father-in-law has suggested that the striker will make a move.
Gustavo Balbi told Spanish television that “Luis has nothing left to prove in England. It'd be the right time to move to Spain.”
According to the Mirror, Suarez’s family has a big influence on his transfer decisions.
Balbi added that “it doesn’t matter whether it’s one team or the other (Madrid or Barcelona). He will not go to another team in England out of respect for Liverpool.”
The news that Suarez won’t play for a Premier League rival will come as little comfort to Liverpool fans, however, given that the Uruguayan was responsible for scoring 31 goals for the Reds in the 2013/2014 season en-route to Liverpool’s second-place finish.
Suarez’s agent Per Guardiola has indicated that the striker will wait till after the World Cup before judging Real Madrid or Barcelona’s intent.
The Liverpool Echo reports that neither Spanish giants have approached Suarez, nor has Suarez or his representatives given Liverpool any sign that he wants out.
Suarez current has a contract with a confidential release clause that runs till 2018, and reportedly makes £200,000 ($339,732) a week.
