While fighting a disease like cancer, sometimes the best medicine is to maintain a positive attitude. Just like Jessie Rhye Recny, who is currently fighting the round-two battle against the dreaded disease.
In November 2017, Jessie had triumphed over her stage-2 breast cancer. And while the battle was long and hard, in the end, she managed to make it through.
Jessie did not think it was cancer at first and believed it came from changes to her body after her pregnancy. But unfortunately, it was something.
After eight rounds of chemotherapy and surgery, Jessie was given the all-clear bill by her doctors, and she sang to celebrate her victory.
“She has been tough, she hasn’t lost her faith, and even in the sickest days, she has stayed strong with a smile,” Amanda said. “And did I mention she is beautiful bald?!”
Jessie is no stranger to fighting cancer, as her sister-in-law too is a cancer survivor.
Unfortunately, less than a year later, Jessie learned her cancer was back and had spread. Her fight began again, and she started treatments again in November 2018.
“She is a fighter, she is full of faith and she will beat this cancer once and for all!” read the organization’s update on Jessie’s health.
Jessie isn’t fighting her cancer alone. She has her family, friends, and many others praying for her to get better soon.
