Katy Perry, who recently guest starred on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, is slated to appear on an episode of The Simpsons during this season, according to media reports on Sunday.

The chart-topping singer will star in a holiday episode called “The Fight Before Christmas,” actually appearing in person in concert and not as a cartoon character. The other Simpsons characters will appear as puppet versions of themselves, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Perry was supposed to appear on Sesame Street last week but had the segment pulled.

The Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry,” executive producer Al Jean told EW in jest.
