Comedian Katt Williams was arrested during the nighttime hours on April 27, after a salt shaker incident at a seafood restaurant in Atlanta, Ga., called Spondivits.
According to police and several media reports, Williams got into a tiff with staff members after allegedly seating himself and his party when entering the seafood place—instead of waiting for a host or hostess to seat them.
An argument escalated between Williams and a manager, and Williams grabbed a salt shaker and threw it into the manager’s face, giving him a bloody lip.
By the time police arrived, Williams had gone.
Police caught up with Williams shortly after the incident and arrested him on assault and battery charges. He reportedly posted bond and left the local jailhouse around 12:30 a.m.
