After being with the show for two seasons, actor Jeff Goldblum announced this week that he is leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
The 57-year-old actor, who played Detective Zach Nichols on the USA drama, said he is definitely leaving the program and is leaving on good terms, but said he just wanted to move on.
Goldblum’s representative told Variety that he is leaving the show “due to the uncertainty” that it might not stick around for too much longer.
The show finished its ninth season in July and the cable station is still mulling over whether or not to air a tenth.
Other than Goldblum, Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian also left the show during this season. When Goldblum entered the show, he filled a role that was left void when actor Chris Noth left the program.
The USA Network as well as the show’s creator Dick Wolf said they have not confirmed whether or not Goldblum is leaving, reported CNN.
