Former U.S. House Speaker John Boehner is not a fan of presidential hopeful Ted Cruz, and used some strong words to describe him during an evening talk at Stanford University on April 27.

Boehner was asked about presidential candidates and was assured that he could be honest, since the event would not be broadcast.

When asked about Sen. Ted Cruz he made a face, which drew laughter from the audience, according to the Stanford Daily.

Boehner said Cruz was “Lucifer in the flesh.”

“I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a [expletive] in my life,” added the former Speaker.

Meanwhile, he described his relationship with Donald Trump as a good one. Boehner said he has played golf with the real estate mogul for years and that they were “texting buddies.”

He also revealed that his friendship with Republican presidential candidate, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, was a bit weird.

“[Kasich] requires more effort on my behalf than all my other friends … but he’s still my friend, and I love him,” he said.

When it comes to the Democrat presidential candidates, Boehner believes Hillary Clinton will beat Bernie Sanders, but he attacked her during the event.

“Oh I’m a woman, vote for me,” Boehner said impersonating Clinton, as the crowd gave a negative response.

He then said he had known Clinton for 25 years and thinks she is very accomplished and smart.

Boehner stepped down from his role as House Speaker last September.
