Members of a Midwestern militia group who are on trial had a list of names of people they intended to kill, according to an FBI agent who testified in court on Tuesday.
The agent, Steve Haug, said the list had names including former U.S. presidents, President Barack Obama, other high-level government officials, and Congress members, reported Reuters.
Haug intercepted the Michigan-based militia group when he posed undercover as a truck driver, saying he saw the list during the wedding of David Brian Stone, the leader of the Hutaree, to Tina Stone, his wife and also a member. Stone, his wife, and five members face sedition charges, attempted use of weapons of mass destruction, and other offenses.
On Friday, Haug previously testified that he was “shocked” over Stone’s knowledge of explosives and said he was concerned about what he would do with it.
Defense lawyers have said that the prosecution’s allegations over the group are greatly overstated.
