An explosion of a 0.5 ton pressure boiler in a hospital in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi killed three and injured 17 over the weekend.

As of Saturday evening four victims had been buried in rubble; three of them died, one at the scene, two later in hospital. Among the 17 still alive, all are hospitalized and two are receiving intensive medical treatment.
