Are you on Twitter and are wondering why people are asking to get sent to Derp Con?
Derp Con is fan convention held by Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer.
The band is planning to fly fans from around the world to The Forum in Los Angeles to join them to “fight ninjas, internet haters and join in some serious banding.”
Currently, 5SOS are holding a worldwide competition in order to select the lucky bunch to be with them on November 15 and 16 for Derp Con.
The first USA competition, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, started on Monday, September 15, and is scheduled to end on Friday, September 19.
Interested participants have to incorporate a different 5SOS hashtag that will be released by the official Ryan Seacrest Twitter account into their tweet along with #ContestEntry and tag @OnAirWithRyan.
The final hashtag is #SendMeToDerpConBecause, which should help curious Twitter users who might be scratching their head over it.
Two winners will be selected from the entrants, and they will get a round trip coach airfare to LA, hotel accommodation for a night for two, tickets to see 5SOS at the Forum on November 15, entry to Derp Con on November 16, and a meet and greet session with the band.
