The bond a father and a daughter share is so adorably unique and special that it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful things of our lives. A daughter may outgrow her father’s arms, but she can never seem to outgrow his heart.While we talk about cute moments, here is something that is just hard to miss. This daddy-daughter moment of a little girl and her father enjoying a “sing-and-dance” session in front of the mirror will make you go “aww.”
Laura Caperton Richardson posted a video of her daughter and husband singing the rendition of “My Girl,” and the video has taken the internet by storm.
Richardson’s daughter, Keeton, donned in lilac giraffe pajamas, is, in her dad’s eyes, the sweetest little girl in the whole wide world.
They even have their “favorite song.”
The song that was released in the 1960s is still loved by many generations. It’s no wonder that this daddy-daughter duo has also made it one of their favorite.
The clip shows Richardson holding his little angel in front of the mirror, and they look at their reflection while breaking into a lovely duet together.
“I got sunshine,” he hums, while gently encouraging his daughter to come up with a few words for the next line. His angel girl, holding her dad’s hands, in her clear bubbly voice sings “cloudy day.”
Dad sings the first few words of each line, while Keeton manages to finish off each line with utmost cuteness. You'll be surprised to know that little Keeton remembers the lyrics so well.
Daddy guides her arms in a cute pose while she sways as if improvising a dance sequence.
“My girl,” she warbles, looking into the mirror as her dad holds on to her and dances away. They harmonize the chorus, “Talking ‘bout my girl, (my girl ooh).”
Since the video was posted it has garnered an overwhelming response, and Facebook users can’t seem to get enough of this adorable singing duo.
One Facebook user wrote, “Way to go daddy… That was adorable.”
Another wrote, “This is adorable. She needs a hug...”
“One of my all time favorite songs and I literally am melting at how cute this is,” a user commented.
What better moment could one ask for while grooving away to one of the all-time Motown greats and having the best guys in the world beside you?
A daughter will always remain daddy’s little princess.
